  1. Welcome to Version 1.1 of Solar Size
  2.  
  3.         The Solar Array and Battery sizing program for Windows !!!
  4.  
  5. Please be sure to read the updated USERDOC.TXT file for complete instructions 
  6. on use of the program and features.  For existing users of Version 1.0,
  7. this version improves and expands functionality.  New features are:
  8.  
  9.         1) A New Load Calculation form to properly calculate the required
  10.            net load for multi load applications.
  11.  
  12.         2) A New Battery Hydrogen Evolution Calculation.
  13.  
  14.         3) The Configuration file will now save your Battery type.
  15.  
  16.         4) The File Save will save your battery type, Selected City, and
  17.            Print Information.
  18.  
  19.         5) Context sensitive help has been added.  Simply press "F1" while
  20.            the curser is on the subject in question.  A help screen on that
  21.            subject will appear.
  22.  
  23.         6) The City Selection options have been expanded to allow you to
  24.            choose location only.
  25.  
  26.         7) The Temperature calculation for NiCad batteries has been changed.
  27.            The V1.0 calculation was a bit optimistic.
  28.  
  29.     8) When loading an existing Site Data File (.SDF), the calculated
  30.            values for that file will be displayed.  V1.0 required a
  31.            recalculation after loading the values from a file.
  32.  
  33.         9) The program has been compiled under Visual Basic V2.0.  It will
  34.            run a little faster.

  36. This version is compatable with your V1.0 Site Data Files (*.SDF).  You
  37. may want (but don't have to) to Open them in V1.1, select the battery type,
  38. City, and Print information, then reSave the file.  This will add this data
  39. to your file for easy recovery later.

  41. Version 1.1 changes the way the configuration file is saved.  When you first
  42. run the program it will inform you of this.  Verify your configuration settings
  43. then Save the Configuration from the Options Menu.  This completes your
  44. transition to Version 1.1.

  46. Just imagine, all those folks who never registered won't get all these new
  47. features!!!!  Don't get left out, register your version 1.1 today.  Please
